Stow Woman Pleads Guilty to Impersonating a Peace Officer

Woman identified herself as an auxiliary officer when attempting to get a phone number from police dispatch last month.

A 45-year-old Stow woman pleaded guilty in Stow Municipal Court June 2 to a charge of impersonating a peace officer.

said this isn't the first time Mary C. Gordon of Lake Run Boulevard was similarly charged.

The first time was May 16 at the , a report said. Gordon was dressed in . When a court employee asked who she was,  Gordon said she was an auxiliary police officer.

Then on May 27, Gordon tried to get a phone number of a former police officer from Stow dispatch. According to the report, Gordon identified herself as an auxiliary officer from Munroe Falls and said the former officer was a friend.

Gordon pleaded guilty to the fourth-degree misdemeanor charge in Judge Kim Hoover's court room and was ordered to pay fines.
