Community: Mayor Reflects on First Month in Office

As the first month of my term as your Mayor comes to a close, I want to take this opportunity to thank the community and City employees for offering me such a warm welcome to this new position. I am grateful for the support and kind words
of encouragement so many of you have offered as I transition to this new role in our community.

The delivered to City Council and the community early in January set a blueprint for my goals — both short and long term. The Administration has moved forward quickly to put in place policies and practices that will ensure the health and long term stability of your City government.

I am confident you will find that frequent and open communication is a priority of mine and I have worked very hard to facilitate the lines of communication among City employees and with the community. Additionally, I have met with many area elected officials in an attempt to improve Stow’s collaboration with area communities.

Providing outstanding customer service to the residents and businesses of Stow remains a critical component of our mission. I sincerely hope that each of you have positive and productive interactions with your City government. 

As your Mayor, I take the duty of advocating for Stow’s residents and businesses seriously.  We will always be more prosperous as a community if everyone is an invested stakeholder in the success of the City and has opportunities for
engagement.

To that end, it will be my ongoing priority to ensure that every member of our community is able to participate in all that Stow has to offer, including senior citizens, new members to our community, children and people with disabilities.
