Amanda has been awarded The University of Akron's most prestigious honors scholarship, the Lisle M. Buckingham/Orr Family Honors Scholarship. The award consists of tuition and fees, room and board, for up to eight semesters of an honors student's academic program.
The University of Akron Honors College student plans to major in speech-language pathology.

During her four years in high school, Amanda was very involved in Drama Club. She served as student producer of Inherit the Wind, Noises Off, Anything Goes and Bye Bye Birdie. She was the student director of Grease and Little Shop of Horrors.
A National Honor Society member, Amanda received the Marge Moser Citizenship Award and the Rotary Academic Achievement Award.
