A 2012 Graduate With Honors: Michael Pribula

Stow-Munroe Falls High School grad has earned John Carroll University's most prestigious academic award.

Michael Pribula, son of Ron and Laura Pribula of Stow, will be recognized during graduation Thursday for being one of the top 10 students in the 2012 class at .

Michael intends to major in pre-medicine/biology at John Carroll University in Cleveland, which has awarded him the Presidential Honors Award.

These four-year scholarships are the university’s most prestigious academic awards, providing support to the top 50 students in each incoming freshman class whose accomplishments earn them a spot in the University Honors Program.

While at SMFHS, Michael was a member of the National Honor Society, played tuba in both marching band and concert wind ensemble and served as section leader.

Michael has earned the rank of Life Scout in Boy Scouts of America and is the recipient of a Rotary Club Achievement Award. He collected 1,200 books for distribution to students through the community book drive.
