Sara Fildes, daughter of Thomas and Deborah Fildes of Stow, will be recognized during graduation Thursday for being one of the top 10 students in the 2012 class at .

The National Merit Scholarship winner will be attending the University of Cincinnati to major in international business. Sara has also been awarded the Cincinnatus Excellence Scholarship.
Sara played in the band all four years at SMFHS, was a two-year member of both the Japanese Club and Speech and Debate Team and a one-year National Honor Society member. She also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity the past two years.

Honors Sara received during her high school years include AP Scholar with Honor, Rotary Character Counts Award, Rotary Academic Achievement Award and PTSA Academic Award.
