Lions Club Provides Thanksgiving Meals for 22 Families

The Lions Club is donating food baskets and gift cards to 22 families within the Stow-Munroe Falls School District for Thanksgiving.

Everyone deserves a full table of food on Thanksgiving, and that's why the Stow-Munroe Falls Lion Club is donating food and gift cards to 22 families within the . 

"This is the third year that our club members have chosen such a service project to help families in need within the two communities," said Marty Dennis, chairperson of the project. 

Each school will be provided two non-perishable food baskets along with a $25 gift card for confidentially selected families (by the school's staff) to buy their meat and other food items for the holiday.

Councilman John Pribonic, Stow's , helped the club purchase the food and gift cards and the store donated the basket preparation and wrapping, said Dennis.

The club is comprised of both men and women, employed and retired, who serve in various ways to help create a better life for the residents of Stow and Munroe Falls.

"As their International Lions motto states, 'We Serve,' the basket donation project is just another way the Lions contribute back to their communities," said Dennis.
