Meet the Bulldog's New Baseball Coach

The former Akron's Firestone High School coach is taking on Stow's team this spring.

Bryan Celik is ready to make the calls for the high school varsity baseball team this spring after he was named as the new head coach.

"Thanks for the opportunity, I'm looking forward to it," he said. "And thanks for welcoming me into the Stow community."

He will make $4,771.39 as head coach. Celik was unanimously approved by the during the .

“I’m very pleased to welcome Mr. Celik to our staff,” said Superintendent Russ Jones. “As a college athlete and recipient of the Lisle Buckingham Academic Scholarship and Honors Scholarship, Bryan brings first-hand experience as a successful athlete and coach with a focus on academics. I look forward to his leadership of our baseball team and of our student athletes.”

Celik was previously a pitching and freshman team coach for Akron's Firestone High School.

He is a construction manager and is employed by H.R. Gray as an engineer. A graduate of The University of Akron, cum laude, Celik has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

As an undergraduate, he was a four-year letterman in baseball. He is also licensed in pupil activity and is CPR certified. He and his wife Jennie live in Broadview Heights with their son Owen.

He replaces Transportation Supervisor and former varsity coach John Daymon, who stepped down as head coach after last spring's season.
