Tri-C High School Rock Off: Stow Students Rock Out with Band in Final Exam Saturday

Halfway Home, a punk-alternative band with students from Stow and Aurora, is one of 18 acts to perform Saturday at the High School Rock Off at the House of Blues.

It's already "Final Exam" time for a few students at area schools.

Halfway Home, a group comprised four students from Stow and Aurora, is among those performing Saturday at the 2013 Tri-C High School Rock Off Final Exam. 

The 17th edition of the annual event begins at 4 p.m. downtown at House of Blues.

Here's the band members:

  • Austin Bianco: guitar, vocals
  • Ross Downing: guitar, lead vocals
  • Harry Baymiller: drums
  • Brian Fackelman: bass

The Rock Off schedule shows that Halfway Home will perform at 9:50 p.m. The winners will be announced at 10:55 p.m. following all performances. The winners will receive a $1,000 prize and a $200 donation to their high school bands.

Halfway Home is one of 18 bands to make the Final Exam competition. The Rock Off began about a month ago with 63 bands of various genres. The band consists of Alex "A-Lex Ram" Ramsay, Brian "Watered Kirby" Kirby and Chris "CG" Gillooly.
