Stow Safety Town Registration Opens

Register at any Stow public school. Cost is $40.

More children die every year from injuries than from all diseases combined. The purpose of Safety Town is to reduce this statistic by teaching pre-kindergarten aged children how to handle and keep themselves out of dangerous situations.

This is accomplished through a 12.5 hour course (2.5 hours per day for 1 week). The children will learn such topics as fire safety, safety belts, pedestrian safety, bike safety, bus safety, personal safety, and play ground safety.

Stow Safety Town employs a certified teacher to plan and lead daily educational classes. She is assisted by the education specialists from the Stow Fire and Police Departments, as well as other outside safety experts.
