Student Council Expects to Exceed Holiday Drive Goal

When the holiday drive to provide items to the Haven of Rest started, Stow-Munroe Falls Student Council hoped to get 5,000 items, now they are trying for 1,000 more.

Student Council hit its early. So, the are trying for a new goal: 1,000 more items by Dec. 9.

High school math teacher Amanda Murray, now in her third year as Student Council advisor, said everyone has been very generous and said she has no doubt a lot more items will be collected by Dec. 9.

“We’re hoping we can make a larger impact and help more people during the holiday season by opening it up to the community,” Murray said.

The most-needed items include canned goods, non-perishable foods, toiletries, new or gently used clothing of all kinds, baby items and toys for all ages. Click this link to see a complete list of needed items.
