Students Show Signs of Generosity (Photos)

The new sign, completely paid for with donations, was installed Oct. 4, 2012.

A student-lead initiative is the reason the Stow-Munroe Falls High School has a new electronic message board on Graham Road.

Students solicited money from various organizations and groups and attending planning commission meetings at City Hall to get approval for the sign. The sign was completely paid for with donations.

The electronic message board was designed by Go2 Marketing, a Twinsburg company.

"The sign is state of the art, it's two sided, with amber lights," said Steve Fry, who was representing Go2Marketing at a council meeting in September. He added the text on the screens will not scroll.

"It's much more aesthetically pleasing," Fry said. "It's going to be a great way to effectively communicate with the community."
