Stow Runner Finishes 175th in Cross Country Championship for KSU

Michael Heller was the lone Kent State University runner in the Mid-American Conference in the November race.

Michael Heller, a redshirt senior cross country runner for Kent State University, wrapped up his college running career by placing 175th overall at the NCAA Division I Men's Cross Country Championships Nov. 17.

The Stow-Munroe Falls High School graduate crossed the finish line of the 10K course in Louisville, KY at 31:22.2. 

Heller was the only KSU representative at the Mid-American Conference in the Nov. 17 race. He places in the top 10 in each of his first six meets of the season.

"The season was highlighted by individual titles at the Tommy Evans Invitational and Iona Meet of Champions in the first two races of the season," according to the Kent State University website

The university has sent 30 men and two women to the NCAA Cross Country Championships. Heller was the first to compete in the championship since 1991.
