HUDSON WINE FESTIVAL TO FEATURE FINE WINES AND RAISE FUNDS FOR LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTER

Wine and animal lovers of all ages will converge upon Hudson, Ohio to raise money for PAWSibilities, Humane Society of Greater Akron.

The fifth annual Hudson Wine Festival, a benefit for PAWSibilities, Humane Society of Greater Akron.  Features include wine and craft beer tasting, musical entertainment, seminars, exhibitors and artists and a Pet Expo on Saturday with a police K9 demonstration.

July 20, Festival 4:00 – 9:00 p.m.

July 21, Pet Expo – 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.    Festival 1:00 – 9:00 p.m. 

101 Village Way - in the First & Main Shopping District

Connecting For A Cause has partnered with PAWSibilities, Humane Society of Greater Akron (PHSGA) to hold the fifth annual Hudson Wine Festival July 20 and 21, 2012.

The event will showcase fine wines from local, national and international producers and select craft beers.  Guests will enjoy musical entertainment, delectable food from Nosh Eatery & Creative Catering as well as wine education seminars, artists and exhibitors along with raffles throughout the weekend.  Adoptable pets from PHSGA will also be on site and leashed pets are welcome! 

In addition, a Pet Expo will take place Saturday on the First & Main green from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Vendors will feature pet related products and adoptable animals will be on hand.  Guests can enter into an Italian ice eating contest for owners and pets at 11:30 a.m. and the Buckeye Area Regional K9 team will perform a demo adjacent to the green at 11:45 a.m.  The Pet Expo is FREE to the public.

Hudson Wine Festival tickets are $20 through Thursday July 19, and $25 at the door and include 10 taste tickets and a souvenir wine glass.  Additional taste tickets are available on site for $1 each.  Weekend passes are available for $30 in advance and $35 at the door.  The wines and beers featured on site are available for purchase through area Discount Drug Mart locations.

PARKING / ROAD CLOSURES:

Village Way from Library to Morse along with Morse Road from Clinton to Village Way will be closed from 7:00 a.m. Friday until 12:00 p.m. Sunday.  Media parking will be available throughout First & Main.  Please contact Debra Sherman at 330.256.8704 for press passes and additional information.

This is great. Thank you for posting this. I had no idea about this event, and I love finding things to do with my dog. Not to mention things that are for a good cause!
