Bulldogs Swim Team Welcomes New Head Coach and Staff

Bulldog Swim Team begins 2012 with a new Staff!

New head swim coach, Dan Reese, kicked off the 2012-13 Stow Monroe Falls Swim and Dive season as Bulldog swimmers began practice at the Akron General Wellness Center.

Coach Dan brings his high energy positive attitude to the program as was evident in the first practice as he was all over the pool deck yelling out encouragements and challenges to the swimmers.  Coach Dan comes to Stow with years of experience as a swimmer and coach.

Most recently Dan was head coach of the Water Works Swim Club, a summer team in Cuyahoga Falls.  He is a Cuyahoga Falls native who learned to swim as a member of both the Water Works Swim Club and the Cuyahoga Falls Tigersharks.

For the past seven seasons he has worked as a coach with the Cuyahoga Falls Tigersharks.

He believes that a successful swim team has a great blend of fun, hard work and discipline and looks forward to a great season!

Coaching with Dan are Marre Fouty. This is Marre's first year as an assistant coach with the team.  She swam and lettered in high school competing for Central Hower High School in Akron.

She continued working with swimmers as a swim instructor in the area teaching athletes the basics of competitive swimming.  Her dedication as teacher continues as a 7th grade science teacher at Kimpton Middle School where she has been a teacher for the past 9 years.

Also coaching with Coach Dan and Coach Marre are Micheal Wilhelm and Warren Schneider.

This will be Coach Michael’s first season assisting with the swim team. Michael started swimming for the Kent Sea Riders at the age of ten and continued on to swim for the Stow High School swim team from 2001-2005. Michael is currently working on his undergraduate degree at Kent State University studying integrated language arts and is striving to teach high school English in a couple years. Michael is excited to begin his swimming career out of the water and familiarizing himself with all the aspects of coaching swimming.

Coach Warren is 1982 graduate from Euclid High School where he startedswimming and playing water polo. He swam breaststroke and the butterfly. In 1997 Warren became an Ohio High School Swimming and Diving Official, officiating countless meets in Northeast Ohio at all levels of competition.

Since 2005 Warren has been the assistant swim coach at Stow-Munroe Falls High School where he earned the nickname “W”. Warren’s community involvement includes coaching soccer for one of his four daughter’s Stow Soccer Club GASA teams from 2003 to 2007 and a former member of Munroe Falls city council. Warren joined HEAT, a competitive swim club in Hudson, in 2010 as an age group coach working with the blue group and the senior & elite  level swimmers and loves every second of it.

All the coaches look forward to a great season.
