This was Adkins’s first ever appearance in a finals in her swimming career at Stow. Adkins added, “I was seeded 15th so I knew I would have to swim faster than that time to make it.  After the prelim race, even though my coach told me I made it, I had to check for myself.  In the finals I was able to drop time.  That was so exciting.”
