Black Friday a Little Less Crazy than Usual

Black Friday Rush: Should Stores Be Open on Thanksgiving? (Poll)

Target employee starts petition effort on Change.org.

More than 187,000 have signed a petition started by a Nebraska Target employee on Change.org to "save Thanksgiving" by having Black Friday sales start at 5 a.m. rather than at midnight. Anthony Hardwick said a midnight opening robs employees of time off with their families on Thanksgiving. That started 26 other campaigns on Change.org to get Kohl's, Best Buy, Macy's and other stores to change their midnight openings, said Benjamin Joffe-Walt, director of communications for Change.org. What do you think? Take our poll – you can also explain your vote with a message in the "comments" box.

What about all the health care workers that have to work on Thanksgiving and every other holiday?? Should they be off too? Who will take care of all the sick and elderly? If stores want to be open then so be it. If you choose not to patronize them, then that is your choice. Be thankful America lets us have these choices.   more ›
