The chamber is seeking new board of directors. "Directors are responsible for setting goals and policy for the chamber, as well as providing leadership within the Chamber and the Community," said Chamber Executive Doris Stewart. "Directors play an important role in leadership of the chamber by establishing policy and direction for the organization. Chamber directors commit to meet on a monthly basis and are available for special meetings as needed. Chamber directors also volunteer to chair or co-chair chamber committees and special events." There are five available board of director spots available.
In years past, the Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce has had only a few people intersted or nominated to serve on the Board of Directors. This year, the board will be voting to fill five vacancies from 10 people. Chamber members will receive ballots along with a short biography in the mail soon. The votes will be accepted and counted until the Nov. 7 deadline and the results will be announced at the Nov. 17 Board of Directors meeting. The new Board of Directors will be sworn in at the Chamber Holiday Party on Dec. 20 at Silver Lake Country Club. Here are the finalists: The new board members will serve in 2012 and 2013.

See who is representing the Stow and Munroe-Falls businesses this year.
The Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce, which began 44 years ago, recently selected its Chamber Directors. Each year, five directors are elected by the members to serve two-year terms an a director could serve up to three consecutive terms, said Chamber Executive Doris Stewart. She has served as executive since September of 2010 and is a past chamber president. John Pribonic, who is also a City Council member, was named as the Chamber's president. Cindy Kropp from Hair Innovations, is serving as vice-president.
