Highly questionable behavior On Feb. 16 at 7:35 a.m., a 54-year-old Stow woman alerted Cuyahoga Falls police after she reportedly spotted a man masturbating while driving on State Route 8. With the tip, officers were able to find and arrest the 29-year-old Canton man. He was charged with public indecency, a third-degree misdemeanor, according to the Cuyahoga Falls police report. Valentine's Day misfortune An Akron woman called Cuyahoga Falls police and reported her Sandhill residence had been burglarized at about 1:40 p.m. on Feb. 14. The burglar smashed through the back door and made off with $2,200 in cash and valuables, according to the police report. The woman intends to prosecute if the crook is caught. On Dec. 13, a Kent Road woman called police to report a break-in, according to a Stow police report. The woman reported that more than $740 in video games and game consoles were stolen. Turns out, two 15-year-old boys were responsible for the burglary, the report stated. One boy turned himself in and the other was later arrested. Both boys were taken to the Juvenile Detention Facility. Police charged both boys, one from Stow, the other from Monroe Falls, with delinquency by means of burglary, a felony.

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.
A 42-year-old woman living at the 3000 block of Oaklawn Park Boulevard called Stow Police Oct. 12 when she heard footsteps behind her home around 3 p.m. and noticed her side door was wide open. When police arrived, they checked the house and the area and did not find any suspects. Police said the home was ransacked and a safe was taken. Inside the safe were $2,500 in savings bonds, passports and birth certificates. Burglary, in this situation, is a third-degree felony.

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.
Stow Police said someone entered a 30-year-old Solon teacher’s home at the 4200 block of Stow Road June 20 and stole hundreds of dollars in jewelry. There was no forced entry when someone went into the front door, according to the report. Police said a Star of David necklace, valued at $300, a blue journey necklace, valued at $300, a silver heart necklace, valued at $50 and gold dragon earrings, valued at $100, were taken. The suspect then left through the back door of the house around 5 p.m., said police. Burglary is a second-degree felony and theft is a first-degree misdemeanor in this situation.

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.
On June 3 around 9:30 a.m. a 38-year-old Sanford Avenue woman living in the 3400 block told police someone was in her home and stole about $945 in jewelry and money. She believes someone came in through an unlocked back patio door, according to a Stow Police report. Missing from the home was $125 in cash, a $125 silver heart pendant with diamonds, a $150 butterfly pendant, a $150 pink sapphire pendant, a large pearl ring, some gold earrings and other pieces of jewelry. Burglary in this situation is a second-degree felony.

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.
A 31-year-old Kent Road resident and her mother found a scratch on the front door of her residence and piece of wood wedged between the bedroom window. They called Stow Police May 31 around 11 a.m. Police said it did not appear as if her home at the 4400 block of Kent Road was entered. Officers also said nothing was missing from inside. Attempted burglary is a third-degree felony.

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.
A resident of the 4400 block of Cherryhurst Drive reported the theft of nearly $10,000 worth of jewelry and coins from his home, according to a May 14 Stow Police report. An 83-year-old man told police that his home was burglarized between May 4-11. The crime is a second-degree felony. Items reported stolen include a diamond and gold ring valued at $5,000, three other diamond rings with a combined value of $2,500, two diamond watches with a combined value of $1,500 and 10 sets of uncirculated silver coins with a combined value of $400.

The Stow Police Department got a call from a worried Mac Drive homeowner May 11 who said an unknown car was parked at their home. Police went to the house at the 1400 block of Mac Drive and saw a 2000 black Plymouth Neon. According to the report, someone had broken through the back window to get into the home. Police said they found Brandi L. Haines, 31, of Wellsville and Jesse L. Atkinson, 34, of Akron in the home and arrested them both. Haines was charged with complicity to burglary, a second-degree felony, and drug abuse, a first-degree misdemeanor. Atkinson was charged with burglary, a second-degree felony and criminal damaging, a second-degree misdemeanor. Both were taken to Summit County Jail.

Stow Police received two reports of break-ins two days apart from a resident of the 3800 block of Charring Cross Drive. The man, 25, first called police at 6:05 p.m. March 9 to report that someone broke into his home between 11 a.m. and 9:20 p.m. March 8 and stole a Radio Shack video camera receiver valued at $50 and a VHS tape valued at $1. The suspect had entered the residence by unknown means, as there were no signs of forced entry. The man called police a second time at 8:20 p.m. March 11 to report that between 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. that day, someone broke in and stole an Audiobahn subwoofer valued at $50. A police reported indicated force was used in the second incident to gain access to the home through a back door.
