The youth leadership program will be accepting new members this spring.
The mission of the Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce Leadership program is to expand the pool of potential leaders in the community. Individuals can then more actively participate in the community’s service and volunteer organizations, schools and local government, said Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Doris Stewart. Members of the 2010-2011 Stow-Munroe Falls Leadership class recently had the opportunity to tour local businesses and learn more about their operations, history and economics. The Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce, which began 44 years ago, recently selected its Chamber Directors. Each year, five directors are elected by the members to serve two-year terms an a director could serve up to three consecutive terms, said Chamber Executive Doris Stewart. She has served as executive since September of 2010 and is a past chamber president. John Pribonic, who is also a City Council member, was named as the Chamber's president. Cindy Kropp from Hair Innovations, is serving as vice-president.
