Before you head out to run errands, check our list of what's open.

Many government organizations will observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day today. And before you head out, we wanted to let you know which ones are closed or have different hours because of the holiday. The following businesses are CLOSED: • Stow City Hall • Post offices • Banks • Stow-Munroe Falls Public Schools

Stow Native, Filmmaker Releases 'Before the World Goes Boom'

In the newly released documentary, Larry Longstreth addresses divisive issues affecting America.

A single question motivated a Stow-Munroe Falls High School graduate to create a documentary about divisive issues affecting the country: "Why are people acting the way they are?" The goal of "Before the World Goes Boom" is to shed light on racism and prejudices in the U.S., promote understanding and broaden people's perspectives, according to the film's website.  The documentary, released earlier this month, was made by Larry Longstreth, 30, a Stow native now living in Akron, and Jacob Ruby, 26, of Stow.
