I met and dated a man that claimed to be single. 6 months later I found out he was married. He had a wife in another country. I learned two valuable lessons don't respond to missed connections and don't date foreign men. Especially if they are students more than likely are dirty cheaters in arranged marriages. What a creep. Update: Man Who Met Fictitious 14-Year-Old Sentenced to Probation, Fined

The 27-year-old from Stow was also ordered to pay a fine.

Trevor Wozniak, the Stow man who pleaded guilty to charges stemming from meeting a fictitious 14-year-old girl with a condom, received two years of probation May 1, according to the Summit County Prosecutor's Office. Judge Pamela Barker also fined him $1,000. Wozniak, 27, will be required to register as a Tier II Sexual Offener. He could have received up to 2.5 years in prison.  On Aug. 15, Wozniak posted an advertisement indicating "he was looking for fun" and that he did not discriminate against "age, race, or size," according to the prosecutor's office. Man 'Looking for Fun' with Youths on Craigslist Faces Prison Time

A 27-year-old Stow man could face up to 2.5 years in prison for meeting what he thought was going to be a 14-year-old girl with a condom.

Trevor Wozniak, 27, of Stow will be sentenced in Cuyahoga County Court May 1 for pleading guilty to attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and possessing criminal tools after going to meet a fictitious young girl with a condom.   On Aug. 15, Wozniak posted an advertisement indicating "he was looking for fun" and that he did not discriminate against "age, race, or size," according to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's office. I just got an emailed sex offender notification that this guy has registered as living at 2667 Lancashire Drive, Stow, OH, less than a mile from my house and EXACTLY one mile (according to Google Maps) from Woodland Elementary.   more ›

Murder Charges Against Rafferty Filed in Summit County

The charges in Summit County replace those in Noble County in Craigslist killing case.

Brogan Rafferty was arraigned in Summit County today for his involvement in the crimes dubbed the Craigslist killings in southern Ohio. Rafferty, 16, who was a Stow-Munroe Falls High School student when he was arrested November, now faces three counts of aggravated murder, one count of attempted murder, four counts of aggravated robbery and four counts of kidnapping in Summit County, according to Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh's Office. The prosecutor's office filed a motion to try him as an adult, but the court will have a hearing on that motion at another date yet to be determined, said April Wiesner, director of communications for the prosecutor's office.  Rafferty is currently being held at the juvenile detention center on Dan Street in…

Teen To Be Charged as Adult in Craigslist Murder Case

Brogan Rafferty, 16, will face charges of attempted murder and one count of aggravated murder and complicity to aggravated murder.

Stow-Munroe Falls High School student Brogan Rafferty, 16, will face murder charges as an adult. Noble County Juvenile Court Judge John Nau order Rafferty's case to be transferred to adult court. The change means that Rafferty could face stiffer penalties if convicted. The teen is being held on $1 million bond. Rafferty is charged with attempted murder, one count of aggravated murder and complicity to aggravated murder as an adult. The charges stem from the discovery in late November of two bodies in shallow graves in Noble County. The two had been shot to death. Investigators say the two responded to a job ad posted by the teen and Akron resident Richard Beasley on craigslist. A third person who responded to the ad escaped after being …

Stow Teen Charged with Attempted Murder in Craigslist Ad Investigation (Video)

The following information was supplied by Noble County Prosecutor Clifford Sickler and Noble County Sheriff Stephen Hannum. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 16-year-old former Stow-Munroe Falls High School student is in custody was charged with attempted murder and complicity to attempted murder today by authorities investigating a murder and shooting in Caldwell, Ohio. The teen and a 52-year-old man from Akron are considered suspects in a Craigslist Ad case where two victims responded to a fake job ad. The Akron man is being held in Summit County Jail for charges related to prostitution and his bond was set for $1 million, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. Noble County Prosecutor Clifford Sickler and Sheriff Stephen Hannum gave the information on the 16-year-old's charges just before a gag order was issued by County Judge John Nau, preventing the release of any more information. …

Donny, What more did you expect Dr. Jones to say? It's NOT his job to inform you of anything more as the district is NOT a party to this case. Someone, who just happened to be a student, committed a crime AWAY from school and it did not involved other students, staffers or the district.
