4 Juveniles Ring Doorbell, Throw Snowballs at Stow Couple

Information provided by the Stow Police Department.

On Dec. 31, an Eastwicke Boulevard man called Stow Police to report criminal mischief in his neighborhood, according to a report. The man said four juveniles rang his doorbell and when he and his wife answered the door, the boys threw snowballs at the door, the report stated. It was unclear whether the couple was hit with any of the snowballs. Later, the man saw the group of boys standing at the corner of Eastwicke and Progress Park arguing with a man who was yelling at them for throwing snowballs at his car, the report stated. When police arrived, they could not find the boys, the report stated.

Peculiar Criminal Mischief on Renee Lynn Circle

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.

On Nov. 18, Stow Police were called to the 5100 block of Renne Lynn Circle because a 61-year-old resident said some unusual things were happening at her home. The woman told police that during the last three weeks someone broke her doorbell, applied an unknown chemical substance on her lawn and left a wad of tobacco on a chair on her front porch. The chemical caused a patch of her lawn to go dead.  Criminal mischief, in this situation, is a third-degree misdemeanor.

Fools, Not Ghouls Likely Responsible for Ruining Halloween Decorations

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.

On Oct. 19, a 52-year-old Marbend Drive woman called Stow Police because someone messed up her Halloween decorations — for the third time.  The resident of the 4200 block of Marbend said someone cut and took the string around multiple corn stalks around her front yard, which caused them to fall over.  Other decorations were pulled out of the ground or knocked over, including her pumpkins. A front porch light attached to the side door was also turned sideways, but not damaged. This is the third time the woman said her decorations were damaged.  Criminal mischief, in this situation, is a third-degree misdemeanor.

Union Members Suspected of Mischief at School

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.

A Stow-Munroe Falls High School employee told police that on June 1 around 12:30 p.m., some kind of liquid was poured on the driver's seat of her 2004 red Chevy Impala. The car was parked in the high school's lot on the last day of school with the windows down.  Officers said they watched the high school's parking lot survelliance video and saw a white Nissan Pathfinder pull up to the woman's Impala for less than one minute. Two people got out of the SUV, walked over to the car, then left the parking lot, according to the report.   The woman told police she suspects it was members of her union who poured the liquid. Criminal mischief ia a third-degree misdemeanor, in this situation.

Teen Tells Officer: 'Pay Back is a ...' After Admitting to Egging House

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.

Stow Police Officers were sent to the 2000 block of King Drive because someone's house had just been egged last week around midnight. While driving to the King Drive home, officers got the description of the car that drove away from the scene of the egging. One police officer went to the address connected to the car's license plate and another went to the home that was egged. The homeowner said he saw some teens throwing several eggs at his house and then someone ran across the street to get into a car and took off toward Darrow Road.  An officer located the vehicle, who said was hot to touch, and the two youths at the home.
