Long-time radio host reportedly died of a heart attack
The "voice of common sense" as he was so often called is silent today. WNIR talk radio host Howie Chizek, of Twinsburg, died Saturday at the age of 65. Numerous media outlets report the Parmalee Drive man died of a heart attack while on a trip to Disney World with underpriveleged children. The Stow-Munroe Falls High School marching band is in Orlando and partcipated in the Magic Kingdom parade recently.
The 234 participating musicians from the Stow-Munroe Falls High School marching band performed in a Disney parade in the Magic Kingdom, attend a Disney Performing Arts Workshop and have a few days worth of fun in the Orlando theme parks. “The performing experience that the kids have playing in front of that many people is really amazing. The venue is amazing,” said Brian Monroe, 22-year band director. “The workshop, to me, is what makes it all really worthwhile. It’s a really neat experience.” Click here for more on the story.

My my daughters family was a neighbor of Howie Chizek and my daughter has told me how my 4 year old grandson would go over to Howies house and have talks with him on his patio, and he considered Howie his friend.
