On Nov. 20, a loss prevention officer at Walmart told Stow Police that two adults were stopped from shoplifting at the store. According to the report, the two men, 24 and 25, of Canal Fulton and Akron, were caught taking $439 in Playstation games, $299 in Xbox games and $99 in Nintendo games. When police arrived, they also found several drug paraphernalia items: The men were released on bond and ordered to appear at the Stow Municipal Court. Theft, in this situation, is a first-degree misdemeanor, having drug abuse instruments is a second-degree misdemeanor and obstructing official business is also a second-degree misdemeanor.

Around midnight Sept. 28, Stow Police pulled a 2007 Mazda over for only having one operational headlight — but with the help of the K9 officer, police found more than that. One police officer pulled the car over at the 750 block of Steels Corners Road. The K9 patrol car also pulled up to the traffic stop and the dog, Nero, indicated there was something else in the car, according to police. Officers searched the car and found a digital scale and 16.7 grams of marijuana in the glove box, according to the report. Stow Police received a report about suspicious juveniles Sept. 5 at the 4200 block of Kenneth Road. Police discovered the group of young adults had been drawing with chalk on public roadways and sidewalks in the area. Two of the teens were found to be in possession of drugs. Officers said they found several plastic sandwich baggies with powder Ecstasy in it. Police said they also found a digital scale with residue, a used metal marijuana grinder with resideue, burnt marijuana papers and a total of $147 in cash. Brett Patrick Morris, 18, of Stow was arrested and charged with a fifth-degree felony of possession of drugs. Police said the man also admitted to smoking marijuana earlier that afternoon.
