The FBI warns that internet fraud is especially prevalent during the holiday shopping season.

Fugitive of the Week is Part of a Large Cocaine Ring

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is looking for information on Anthony Smith.

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is on the lookout for information related to Anthony Smith, the task force’s fugitive of the week.  Smith is wanted by the FBI and the U.S. Marshals for trafficking in narcotics, according to a press release from the task force. He is part of a large drug ring that distributes cocaine in the Cleveland area. Smith is a 33-year-old black male who is about 5’7” and 155 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.   He is thought to be hiding near East 152nd Street in Cleveland. He also has a previous address near the 14000 block of Cleveland’s Lakeshore Boulevard. Bridge Bomb Plot Case Suspect Pleads Guilty

Media reports say that Anthony Hayne, of Cleveland, pleaded guilty in federal court Wednesday morning.

The Akron Beacon Journal reports that one of the suspects in the alleged bridge bomb plot case has pleaded guilty. Anthony Hayne, of Cleveland, was charged with an attempted use of an explosive, with conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction and with an attempt to use that weapon to destroy a highway carrying interstate commerce. WKYC reports that Hayne pleaded guilty to all three charges in federal court Wednesday morning. Sentencing has not yet been scheduled. Hayne was arrested along with four other men on April 30 after allegedly attempting to blow up the state Route 82 bridge between Brecksville and Sagamore Hills in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Five Arrested in Alleged Bomb Plot Plead Not Guilty

The preliminary sentencing in the U.S. District Court took place today.

The Plain Dealer reports that the five men arrested in the alleged plot to blow up a bridge in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park pleaded not guilty today in the U.S. District Court.   The five men, Brandon L. Baxter, 20, of Lakewood; Anthony Hayne, 35, of Cleveland; Joshua S. Stafford, 23, of Cleveland; Connor C. Stevens, 20, of Berea; and Douglas L. Wright, 26, of Indianapolis, have all been charged with three counts, including the attempted use of an explosive. They remain in custody. Brecksville Bomb Plot Suspects' Police Records Show a Trail of Crime

At least three of the men are not strangers to law enforcement agencies in Northeast Ohio.

Several of the men arrested in connection with the suspected plot to blow up a Brecksville bridge have faced criminal charges before, including one juvenile charge of aggravated attempted murder.  Douglas L. Wright, 26, Brandon L. Baxter, 20, Anthony Hayne, 35, Connor C. Stevens, 20, and Joshua S. Stafford, 23, are each charged with one count of conspiracy and one count of attempted use of an explosive, said Mike Tobin, public affairs specialist for the U.S. Department of Justice, Northern District of Ohio. Charges against Wright, Baxter and Hayne were made Monday. Charges weren’t made against Stevens and Stafford until Tuesday. None entered pleas Tuesday afternoon. FBI arrested five men Monday night who officials say had a plan to blow up a bridge in Brecksville.

Five men were arrested by the FBI Monday night on charges they planned to blow up a bridge in Brecksville's portion of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The FBI said in a press release the public was not in danger, and an undercover FBI employee had controlled the explosive devices. In addition, the explosives were inoperable. Man Suspected in Bridge Bomb Plot Former Avon Lake Resident With A Record

Stafford was arrested four times in 2008.

One of five men suspected in conspiring to use explosives on a bridge in Brecksville formerly lived in Avon Lake, and accrued a criminal history while he was here. Joshua S. Stafford, 23, is one of five men charged May 1 by the FBI. Stafford, along with Douglas L. Wright, 26, Brandon L. Baxter, 20, Anthony Hayne, 35 and Connor C. Stevens, 20 were each charged with one count of conspiracy and one count of attempted use of an explosive, said Mike Tobin, public affairs specialist for the U.S. Department of Justice, Northern District of Ohio.  In 2008, Stafford was charged by the Avon Lake Police on four separate occasions: Stafford's current address is not known. Men Arrested in Bridge Bombing Plot Have Ties to Lakewood, Occupy Cleveland

At least two of five men arrested in connection with an alleged plot to blow up a bridge in Brecksville have ties to Lakewood. Brandon L. Baxter, 20, and Anthony Hayne, 35, — who were arrested along with Douglas L. Wright, 26 — have been known to live in Lakewood. In all, FBI has arrested five people who are accused of conspiring to use explosives on a bridge in Brecksville in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
