6 Stow Grads, Kent State Players at GoDaddy.com Bowl
The Kent State Golden Flashes football team will play in the GoDaddy.com Bowl on Jan. 6 at 9 p.m. on ESPN.
For years they suited up for the Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs, and now, six players will be on the Kent State sideline in the football team's first bowl game in 40 years. The Golden Flashes arrived in Mobile, AL this week to play in the GoDaddy.com Bowl on Sunday, Jan. 6 at 9 p.m. The game will be aired on ESPN. A handful of Golden Flashes are from right here in Stow. Nick Conrad, Andrew Horning, Mike Levandowski, Pat McShane, Johnny Simon and Nate Vance are all on the Kent State roster. Conrad, a sophomore linebacker, has nine career tackles for the Golden Flashes in 20 games over two seasons. Horning, a punter, is a red-shirted sophomore.
