The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department
This man ran in for just the necessities. A Kent Road Giant Eagle employee called Stow Police because he saw someone walking out of the grocery store without paying for several items in a cart. The employee said someone took $44 worth of Scott toilet paper, $31 worth of dog food, $44 in clothing detergent and $49 worth of Busch beer, among other miscellaneous items. The employee estimates a total of $221 in merchandise was taken. The employee saw the person drive away in a 2001 gold Pontiac Sunfire. Theft, in this situation, is a first-degree misdemeanor.

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.
An Acme employee called Stow Police because a woman concealed several steaks in her purse, clothing and pants and walked out of the grocery store. The woman, a 43-year-old from Ravenna, did not pay for seven steaks. The stolen porterhouse, filet mignon, T-bone and strip steaks were valued at $110.

About eight months after construction started on the grocery store and its parking lot, everything is finished! Tell us what you think about the improved store in the comments!
After eight months, construction and updates to the store and the parking lot are done at Acme. Another new change is that Ward 3 Councilman and At-Large Candidate John Pribonic announced at the last Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce luncheon that he will be returning to the Stow Acme store from the store in Parma. The free child care service offered at the grocery store was closed indefinitely March 25.
Kids Corner, the free child care facility inside the Acme Fresh Market on Kent Road, closed today and one full-time and five part-time child care employees are out of a job. Not only are six employees no longer working at Acme, but parents no longer have the option to have their children cared for while shopping for groceries. "It's always sad for something to leave, but I hope shoppers are very excited about whats coming," said Acme Executive Vice President Jim Trout about the remodeling happening this spring to the exterior and interior of the store. The excitement of a snow day is almost uncontainable, for parents and students.
When I got the call that we would have a snow day from school, I don’t know who was more excited – my children or me! As I stumbled down the stairs, the thoughts of going back to sleep motivated me to hurry and let the dog out so I could get back upstairs and turn off the alarm before it rang. Most importantly, I don’t want to become too awake because then the bonus of the snow day will be over before it begins! Sleep is a valued commodity. The benefits of snow days are numerous. We can lounge in our pajamas a little longer than usual, meander to the coffee pot and actually sit and enjoy a good cup of Hazelnut flavor blend. The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money.
Stow Police are looking for a man who robbed the Charter One Bank inside the Acme grocery store Jan. 23 around 11 a.m. Police only have a broad description of the suspect, but he was described as having a medium build (185 to 205 pounds), about 5-feet 10-inches tall, brown hair and about 40- to 45-years-old. He was last seen wearing a tan Carhartt jacket and blue jeans and wears glasses, said police. A female teller at the bank said she was approached by the suspect and handed a note that said, "this is a robbery," according to the report.
