WATCH: Jim Tressel Gives Upcoming Game Predictions, Pep Talk at Chamber Luncheon

The former the Ohio State University head football coach gave a few quick sport shout outs in light of the upcoming OSU vs. Michigan game Nov. 24, 2012.

The University of Akron's vice president of strategic engagement and former head OSU football coach Jim Tressel was the keynote speaker at the Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce Chamber Luncheon Nov. 20, 2012.

I'm Sorry But, this man's actions lead directly to a very fine football program's being shut out of all post season play even if they prove themselves to be the best team fielded in 2012 by going undefeated or at least 12-1. And I graduated from "that other university up north".   more ›

When members of the Stow-Munroe Falls High Class of 2012 gathered for their last official event at school Wednesday morning, they had no idea that 20 of them would leave with prizes like iPad3s, NOOk eReaders, 19-inch flatscreen TVs – and a brand new car! Councilman Weighs in On Tressel's New Job — Good or Bad Move for Akron?

"The Vest" accepted an administrative job at the University of Akron.

Jim Tressel, who has his masters in education from the University of Akron, is now a Zips employee. Thurday morning the University of Akron announced that the former The Ohio State University head football coach is the vice president of strategic engagement with an annual salary of $200,000, according to an Ohio.com story. "'Tressel played a key role in the search for a football coach that led to the hiring of Terry Bowden and since then has remained in touch with university officials,'" University President Luis Proenza said in an Ohio.com story. I think this move is great - both for Jim and Akron U. He's quite an innovator in many respects and the university will surely benefit from his expertise. Quite frankly, he really got "screwed" at OSU by his own players and the Board. He wins this time! Go Zips!   more ›

Well said! It is happening in MANY MANY colleges, not just Ohio State. He did lose his credibility when he lied about his knowledge of it, so he had to go. We still LOVE our Ohio State, though. Straighten up guys and play by the rules!   more ›
