Just Two Saturdays Left in Farmers Market Season

This week's Stow event will feature the return of homemade pierogies and the musical stylings of Mike Harvan.

Area meteorologists all agree: There will be no rain Saturday during the second-to-last Stow Community Farmers Market of the 2012 season. The market is open from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the Stow Community United Church of Christ parking lot (behind The Briarwood between Englewood and Baumberger Drives). A new food introduced at the market last week – homemade pierogies – were a huge hit with shoppers and they’ll be available again this week on a first-come, first-served basis. The potato or sauerkraut pierogies served with sautéed onions, sold by the dozen or half dozen, can be eaten on the spot or taken home. Pierogies, Fiddle Tunes On Tap Saturday at Stow Community Farmers Market

Market runs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Stow Community United Church of Christ.

It's nearing the end of the growing season, but Stow Community Farmers Market is still offering some of the best vegetables grown in the area. The market is open from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the Stow Community United Church of Christ parking lot. The farmers market offers visitors a chance to experience new ways to eat healthfully and find new recipes and tips on how to prepare and cook meal selections.  There are even items such as fresh-picked cilantro and basil to enhance main dishes. A new food will be introduced at the market this week: homemade pierogies, cooked to eat on the spot, as well as fresh to go.
