Naked Kent Woman Leads Police on Chase to Bedford

The following information was supplied by Kent and Stow police departments.

A Kent woman took police officers from Stow, Kent and Macedonia on a chase after police say she threatened to harm her child and another relative. When officers stopped the 2002 silver Grand Prix to arrest the woman in Bedford on May 10, she was naked, Stow police Lt. Anne Stirm said. Kent police Capt. Paul Canfield said the woman had left the Silver Meadows Complex in Kent and headed toward Stow after threatening to do harm to members of her family.  "We put out an alert saying, 'Be on the lookout' to other agencies in the area," Canfield said. Man Possibly Fleeing from Police Hospitalized After Crashing Into Tree

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.

Last night Stow Police said a man was in the hospital after "recklessly" driving his car and crashing into a tree on Wexford Boulevard around 2:45 a.m. The driver was operating his 2009 red Nissan coupe "at a high rate of speed, resulting in loss of control of the vehicle," said Police Lt. Anne Stirm. The driver, a 32-year-old from Rootstown, was taken by Stow EMS to the hospital. The passenger was uninjured.  Officers were in the middle of pulling another driver over for a possible OVI when the Nissan sped past a cruiser on Fishcreek Road, said police. Four Stow Officers Aid in High Speed Chase Through Several Cities

Four Stow Officers helped chase a man through Stow, Cuyahoga Falls and Akron who was charged for robbing a man at gunpoint in Hudson Aug. 18 around 4 p.m. The Hudson Police Department called Stow for assistance in stopping Gerome Burns, 34, of Akron who fled in a dark grey Cadillac after robbing a Hudson resident of his watch, ring and wallet at gunpoint, according to police. The driver fled south on S.R. 91 through Stow where an unmarked detective car and a Stow Police cruiser joined the chase, said Stow Lt. Mike Titus. "A Stow officer deployed stop sticks across Darrow Road (near the Stow Post Office) as the Cadillac and a Hudson Police cruiser approached," he said. Police Deploy Spike Strips to End Car Chase

Suspect reportedly robbed Stow home, fled to Kent then fled Kent police

Kent Police officers were forced to end a car chase Saturday by deploying spike strips at the intersection of routes 43 and 261 in Kent, stopping a 28-year-old woman who reportedly broke into a Stow home. According to Stow Police, Jamie White, of Stow, broke into a North Stantom Road home and was confronted by the homeowner. White and the homeowner struggled and she threatened to shoot the victim, police said. White then fled in the homeowner's 2008 Toyota Prius, said police. A few hours later, Kent Police were notified that White might be in the area, and she was spotted pulling out of the Kent Lanes, going south on 43 toward Interstate 76.
