What Time Should School Board Meetings Begin?

Do you think the current times are OK? If not, tell us when you'd like them to be scheduled.

Originally posted Jan. 20, 2012 at noon. Wish you could go to a school board meeting, but the time is never convenient for you? Here's a chance to weigh in.  During the Stow-Munroe Falls Board of Education's first meeting of the new year Jan. 9, Boardmember Rod Armstrong said he'd like to get some feedback from the community about when meetings should begin. Right now, the meetings are usually on the second Monday of the month at 6 p.m. and the fourth Monday of the month at 7 p.m. Click here to see the full meeting schedule. Want to Win $5,000 Dollars from Santa?

Buy a raffle ticket and Santa might give you $5,000 at the Stow-Munroe Falls basketball game tonight.

A few thousand dollars sure would help with holiday shopping, wouldn't it? If you buy a raffle ticket supporting the Stow-Munroe Falls Booster Club, you could win $5,000, $2,500 or $1,000. "The booster club and all high school sport teams have been selling $10 raffle tickets over the last 3 months," said School Boardmember-elect Fred Bonacci.  Didn't buy your ticket? Don't worry, you can still grab one during the first quarter of tonight's varsity basketball game at the high school. Stow Takes on North Royalton: Friday Night Football

The Bulldogs hope to bring home a win at tonight's away game.

It's the second to last game of the season, and the Bulldogs are hoping to bring home a win after four straight loses.  The Stow-Munroe Falls High School football team will play against North Royalton High School away tonight at 7 p.m. Going to the game? Stow Golf Team Wins Sectional Tournament

The team finished with a combined score of 300, which was four strokes better than second place Aurora.

The Stow-Munroe Falls High School men's golf team is on a roll.  After winning the Northeast Ohio Conference River Division Championship and finishing the regular season with a perfect record, the team also won the Candywood Sectional Golf Tournament Monday. The Bulldogs finished with a team score of 300, which was 4 shots better than Aurora. (The results from the tournament are attached in the form of a .pdf to this post.) It was chilly and the team battled against wet and soggy conditions, but came out on top in the 17-team tournament, said Coach Ken Miller. Sophomore Ian Holt led the Bulldogs to victory with a one-over par 73 which was the lowest round by any of the 85 golfers and Senior Max DeCheco was one shot back at 74 in a tie for …

Bulldogs Lose to Redmans in Parma Friday

The Stow-Munroe Falls football team will traveled to Parma Senior High School and lost 31-17.

The Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs record is now 3-3 after losing to Parma Senior High School Friday. This week is Homecoming week. Continue to check Stow Patch for Homecoming events and coverage. The Homecoming game is at 7 p.m. Oct. 7 against Hudson High School at home.

Stow Beats Firestone 21-6

The game carried over into Saturday after it was postponed from Friday evening because of lightning, but Stow stayed ahead for the win. Check the score and statistics here.

Stow-Munroe Falls improved its record to 2-1 Saturday after beating Firestone High School at the first home game of the season. The matchup was postponed Friday evening because of lightning.  Statistics from Friday and Saturday are attached in the form of a .pdf file to this post. High School Field Hockey Team Loses to Kent

The team is now 0-2 after losing to Kent Sept. 2, 2011.

The Stow-Munroe Falls High School field hockey team lost 0-1 to Kent Roosevelt Sept. 2. The team's overall record is now 0-2 after yesterday's game and losing the season opener to Hudson. The next game is scheduled for Sept. 7 at 5 p.m. at home. See the full schedule here.

Varsity and JV Field Hockey Lose to Hudson

The teams are 0-1 for the start of the season after losing to Hudson at home Aug. 31, 2011.

The Stow-Munroe Falls High School field hockey team started the season off with a loss to Hudson this season.The varsity team lost 0-4 and JV beat lost 0-1 Aug. 31.  The next game is Sept. 2 against Kent Roosevelt at home at 4:30 p.m. For the full schedule, click here.
