Wholly Organized! Clears Clutter From Your Environment, Improves Quality of Life

Professional organizer Lynne Poulton launched her home-based business in December.

Wholly organized room, Batman!  She's fun, she's quirky and that's the sentiment she was going for when Lynne Poulton launched her Stow home-based business Wholly Organized! LLC in December 2012. "I have a lot of enthusiasm for what I do," Poulton smiled. "It's like 'Wow, this room is Wholly Organized!'" Poulton dreamed of starting her business back in 2003, but couldn't make it a reality until last year when she took a giant leap and quit her job of 14 years to open shop. "I worked at a non-profit in Cleveland and I taught people work-life balances and classes on how to gain and keep employment," Poulton said. "I found myself talking about organizing time and reaching your goals and thought I could make this work." Poulton claims her …

Good to Go in Stow: Homemade Recipes Keep Customers Coming (and Going)

The concept of the business is to provide quality made from-scratch meals, snacks, and desserts for people to eat at the restaurant or to grab on the way home or to work.

The food is good to go, but it's also good to eat inside at the new restaurant at 3226 Kent Rd. that opened Aug. 17.  The fact that it rhymes isn't why owners Rick and Debby Lebeau named their new restaurant Good to Go in Stow.  "I decided to open the market in Stow for a few reasons," said Debby. "The first, of course, is because I live in Stow with my husband and son. I have lived in Stow for 23 years now. I also opened in Stow because I knew people that lived nearby and those that commuted through Stow each day needed a place just like this!" The concept behind the restaurant is to provide "quality made-from-scratch meals, snack and desserts for people." The business is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily and offers an array of homemade …

Dipped and Dazzled Needs a Little More Time in the Oven Before Opening

The bakery has a new grand opening date, but the owners are taking orders now!

The Dipped and Dazzled gals were hoping to open Oct. 20, but just like when a toothpick doesn't come out clean when testing a cake in the oven ... the bakery itself needs a little more time before it's done.  The owners, Heather Rice and Tara Colopy, said the grand opening is scheduled for Oct. 27 (Saturday). (Halloween in Stow is the same day.) Rice said the business has one employee hired and is looking to do a few more interviews still. But, "everything is coming together!" The grand opening is planned for 9 a.m. next Saturday, but the bakery has already been taking orders online.  The women are putting the bakery into four categories: "It is hard to believe after all this time and hard work, we are ready for you to come down and check …

Dipped and Dazzled Bakery to Open by the End of September

The ladies opening the new bakery on Darrow Road said the business will be "shabby chic" and offer dipped and dazzled bakery at an affordable price.

Sparkly. It's a word to describe what the treats and Dipped and Dazzled Bakery will look like and it describes the personality of the owners.  Friends Heather Rice and Tara Colopy, both 33, have shared the same dream of opening a unique, local, "sparkly" bakery for years and now that dream will become a reality in just a few weeks.  Colopy, the woman in charge of the business side of things, said she's pushing for the store to open the third week of September. Rice, who has been baking out of her home for more than 15 years, and Colopy met just a few years ago. "She just kept telling me for the longest time, 'Quit your job and open a store,' and she was serious," said Rice. "One day this winter, I looked at her and said 'Let's do this…
