Plain Dealer Newspaper Cuts Home Delivery to 3 Days A Week

Daily publication of the newspaper will continue, the company reported today.

Updated 5:08 p.m. The Plain Dealer announced today on its website, cleveland.com, that it will reduce home delivery of its printed product. The company will continue printing the newspaper 7 days a week, but will only deliver to homes three times a week. The company said they will still be delivering Sunday newspapers.  Lay offs in The Plain Dealer's newsroom are still coming, the newspaper reported. But the plan to cut about one third of the newsroom staff has been put off until summer.  Save The Plain Dealer, an organization of journalists formed to do just what the name says, called the move 'bittersweet' on its Facebook page.
