$221 in Beer, Toilet Paper and Detergent Stolen
The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department
This man ran in for just the necessities. A Kent Road Giant Eagle employee called Stow Police because he saw someone walking out of the grocery store without paying for several items in a cart. The employee said someone took $44 worth of Scott toilet paper, $31 worth of dog food, $44 in clothing detergent and $49 worth of Busch beer, among other miscellaneous items. The employee estimates a total of $221 in merchandise was taken. The employee saw the person drive away in a 2001 gold Pontiac Sunfire. Theft, in this situation, is a first-degree misdemeanor.
