Stow Police Foil Inept Theft
The following was obtained from a Stow police report. It does not indicate a conviction.
This hapless pair of thieves never had a chance. On Feb. 1 at 6:24 p.m., two teenagers walked into the Norton Road Giant Eagle, snagged multiple bottles of liquor and Crest Whitening Strips off the shelves, and fled, according to a Stow police report. Unfortunately, supermarket staff wrote down the license plate number of their getaway car and foiled their well-laid plan. Stow police looked up the plate and found the boys at a Hudson residence minutes after the theft. After being questioned by officers, the boys handed over the stolen goods, totaling $560. Each was cited for theft.
