Stow, Munroe Falls Officials Discuss Boosting School Security
Local leaders will meet regularly and discuss how the municipalities and Stow-Munroe Falls Schools can pool their resources to help ensure the safety of the district's students, faculty and staff.
Just days after the tragedy in CT, Mayor Sara Drew announced that officials from Stow, Munroe Falls and the Stow-Munroe Falls Schools will meet regularly to discuss how security can be enhanced within the district. The aim is to work toward a sustainable plan for school security, according to a City of Stow press release. Drew met with Munroe Falls Mayor Frank Larson and Stow-Munroe Falls Schools Superintendent Russ Jones Tuesday and began developing a prospective plan, which could include a permanently enhanced police presence in the school district. The only way to truly ensure that our children are protected from these sick psychopaths is to allow the teachers who have concealed carry permits and proper training to carry in schools.
