Video: Plaque Dedicated to Bastock, Officer Who Held the Line

Safety officers, elected officials, friends and family gathered to dedicate a plaque at the Stow Municipal Court House to Officer Jonathan Bastock who died in the line of duty in February.

Officer Bastock Honored at Stow Court House Today

A plaque in honor of officer Jonathan Bastock will be put up today at noon at the Stow Municipal Court House.

Stow patrol officer Jonathan Bastock, who died in February, will have a plaque dedicated to him at a ceremony at the Stow Municipal Court today.  Bastock, a Cuyahoga Falls resident, was 47 when he died from a blood clot Feb. 5 while recuperating from knee surgery a few weeks earlier. City Council Thanks Kevin Coughlin for Public Service

Cuyahoga Falls resident and former Summit County representative Kevin Coughlin came to a Stow City Council meeting to receive a plaque.

Stow City Council unanimously passed a resolution of appreciation Feb. 10 for Kevin Coughlin of Cuyahoga Falls, who represented Summit County in the Ohio Senate from 2001 to 2011 and served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1997 to 2001. Coughlin represented Stow, Cuyahoga Falls, Twinsburg and all Summit County cities in Ohio for 14 years. While the local politicians said they didn't always agree with Coughlin, they said they respected his work, help and efforts while representing Summit County.
