LOOK: Ribbon Cut at Dipped & Dazzled Bakery

A co-owner said they are raking in orders in anticipation for the holidays approaching.

Dipped & Dazzled Bakery officially opened in the Marc's shopping plaza Oct. 27 but it was officially welcomed by the city at a ribbon cutting Nov. 9, 2012.

Dipped and Dazzled Needs a Little More Time in the Oven Before Opening

The bakery has a new grand opening date, but the owners are taking orders now!

The Dipped and Dazzled gals were hoping to open Oct. 20, but just like when a toothpick doesn't come out clean when testing a cake in the oven ... the bakery itself needs a little more time before it's done.  The owners, Heather Rice and Tara Colopy, said the grand opening is scheduled for Oct. 27 (Saturday). (Halloween in Stow is the same day.) Rice said the business has one employee hired and is looking to do a few more interviews still. But, "everything is coming together!" The grand opening is planned for 9 a.m. next Saturday, but the bakery has already been taking orders online.  The women are putting the bakery into four categories: "It is hard to believe after all this time and hard work, we are ready for you to come down and check …

Stow Couple Opening Gluten-Free Bakery

Are you a fan of cookies, but gluten isn't a fan of you? Those with or without Celiac Disease can enjoy gluten-free bakery in Stow in just a few weeks.

Holly and Tom Phillips of Stow are opening a bakery in Stow in a few weeks, but there's still something missing and will remain missing from the shop — wheat. The bakery, Mrs. P's Gluten Free Bakery, has the motto: "No Wheat, Just Sweet." "Not so long ago I was depressed about my Celiac diagnosis, but I was determined to make delicous gluten-free food that could be a household staple for my family," she said.  So Holly and Tom, who is a new Stow Firefighter, decided delicious gluten-free bakery should be available to everyone. The finishing touches are being done at 5026 Hudson Dr., Unit A. Once the store is up and running, Holly hopes to expand from a family-run business to hiring a few part-time employees.
