Cleveland 'Most Miserable City,' How do you Feel about Stow?

Is Stow associated with Cleveland in this ranking? Let us know what your likes and dislikes are about your city.

Cleveland really is the "Mistake by the Lake" according to Forbes Magazine, but we want to know if Stow is close enough to be associated with all of those poor rankings?

The magazine lists high unemployment, dismal weather, hefty taxes, corruption and mediocre sports teams as reasons why Cleveland is No. 1 on the list.

The rankings are based on jobless rates, inflation, taxes, commuting times, crime rates, performance by the city's sports teams, weather, pollution and corruption by public officials.

"Cleveland nabbed the top spot as a result of poor ratings across the board. It was the only city that fell in the bottom half of rankings in all nine categories," Forbes said on its website.

So how would you rank Stow? In the comment section of this post, tell us the things you like, love, dislike and hate about your city.

Who are the 2 (and, possibly more) losers who said Stow is a miserable place to live? Probably one of the regular "constant (and clueless) complainers" (as I call 'em) who regularly write letters to the Stow Sentry whining about something. I love how they rank the "miserable weather" as a reason. Yeah, like any city has control over this. And the same goes for commuting times. Traffic is NOTHING In NE Ohio compared to other cities. Plus, if commuting time is so much of an issue, then who's fault is that? Was a gun to their heads mandating them to move where they did? #fools.

The Miserable City ranking was in 2010. Maybe something a little more current would be good?

That ranking is from two years ago. Cleveland was #10 in their most recent ranking if you google. Also, Cleveland's metro unemployment has been well below the national average much of this past year. Most recently: http://www.clevelandnewsblog.com/2011/12/cleveland-10th-lowest-unemployment-rate-nation/ http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/business/2011/11/23/cleveland-rocks-jobless-figures.html
