Parking Ban Until Sunday

Find out when the ban will be lifted and what could happen if you still park your car on the street.

Mayor Sara Drew issued a parking ban Saturday afternoon so plows can clear the city's side roads.

Drew said the ban is expected to be lifted at 3 p.m. Sunday Feb. 12.

With the help of the public service director and road superintendent, the mayor may issue a parking ban because "a heavy snowstorm constitutes a serious public hazard impairing transportation, the moving of food and fuel, supplies, medical care, fire, health and public protection and other vital facilities of the city," according to the city's law.
