Board Member Should 'Care About All Students': Letter to the Editor

"He has become ineffective in his duties as a member of this board," said Molly Emery in a letter to the editor asking a school board member to resign.

The actions of one school board member have become unacceptable. He has lost his ability to effectively communicate with his fellow board members and the administration.

I have a hard time believing that the other six people on the board with him are all hiding things, sweeping things under the rug, and that he is the only one who knows everything.

He was downright rude in past board meetings to presenters from the solar panel and energy companies. He thinks everyone is out to rip off the taxpayers.  He is now involved in self promotion and self enrichment.  His actions have brought disgrace to the district and humiliation to the students. He says he is trying to teach the students a lesson about being bullied. Well, HE is the bully.  He should care about ALL the students.

What about the two children he threw under the bus? Because of these facts, he has become ineffective in his duties as a member of this board. I am fairly certain that the other board members ran for their position because they are passionate about providing our children the very best education so they can compete in the 21st century.

Clearly, he does not share that same passion, has ulterior motives and should immediately resign his position.

Signed,
