Graham, Darrow Road Crash Causes Injury: Accident Cleared

Stow Police told Patch that someone was injured in the crash, but it does not appear to be serious.

Around 2 p.m. there was an accident at the Graham Road and Darrow Road intersection. Police, fire and a tow truck were on scene. The accident was cleared by about 3 p.m.

"It was an injury accident but does not appear to be critical or serious," said Police Lt. Ann Stirm at 2:48 p.m.

Check back for details as they are available.

Take a look at Patch's live traffic map to see how traffic is flowing in the area and any possible detours that may be taken if necessary.

Intersection Rated Second Most Dangerous

Akron Metropolitian Area Transportation Study (they) ranked this same intersection in August.

Between 2008 and 2010, there were 101 crashes at that intersection.

It's probably due to Stow's trafiic planning of 2 lanes to 1 after an intersection. May the biggest car win

That's what a lot of people say. Remember this crash in October? http://patch.com/A-np3y

I have seen drivers do some really stupid things at that intersection. Everyone in a hurry to make the light. I have counted as many as three cars go through a RED light and then flip me off like I did something wrong. I wish they would put a camera at that intersection and start sending people tickets to tune of $125.00. Maybe that would help instead of crashing into a car and causing injury or even DEATH.

When I'm at that intersection (heading toward Walgreens on Graham) I try and stay in the left lane. I don't understand fighting to get ahead before the lane turns into one. I also think it's a bit scary when turning onto 91N in the double turning lane after the arrow has expired.

Even trying to remotely put this on Stow is ridiculous. Whomever is cited is the one responsible. There are plenty of intersections throughout the US like this (actually some have more than 1 left-turn lane). Heck, there's even "guide markers" in the intersection for traffic turning left from all directions. If one can't follow THIS, then they shouldn't be driving at all. I agree with Steve G. above -- I see many people do stupid things at this intersection. There should be traffic enforcement cameras at this intersection. The city would bank from the motoring morons who can't follow basic traffic laws and patterns.
