A 35-year-old woman contacted because she said she has been receiving some harassing messages from a man she knows. Police reviewed the emails and letters sent in the mail.
“There were vague sexual harassment-type comments made in the emails that did not yet rise to the level of a criminal offense,” the Aug. 16 report stated. “The female was advised to alert the involved male that his advances are unwanted and a criminal complaint may be sought if communications continue.”
The woman advised the man she did not want to hear from him again but, on her birthday, she received a card from him.
She told police she was “disturbed he would have her personal information.”
The prosecutor’s office was consulted.
