Police Blotter: 64 Calls in a Row, Pennies and Peanut Butter on Car, Grand Theft Auto

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  • The mother of a Crown Pointe Drive teen told police that another female youth called her daughter’s cell phone 64 times in 30 minutes Aug. 16. Telecommunication harassment is a first-degree misdemeanor. 

 

  • stopped a Cleveland man at 3 a.m. Aug. 14 for a moving violation at Graham Road and Darrow Road. The man, 38, was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol. Police discovered the man also had a handgun. He was charged with using weapons while intoxicated, a minor-misdemeanor, among other misdemeanor moving charges.

 

  • On Aug. 14 a Beckett Ridge resident told police her car was taken sometime that morning from the street in front of her house. The value of the car, a 2009 Subaru Impreza, is not known. Grand theft of a motor vehicle is a fourth-degree felony.

  • A Williamsburg Circle resident told police that peanut butter and pennies were smeared on his car Aug. 14. According to the report, pennies were placed on the windshield of the car with peanut butter and there was peanut butter on the hood of the car. Damage is unknown. Criminal mischief is a third-degree misdemeanor.
