The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  • An Orchard Drive resident told that her home was broken into while she was out of town for the night and drugs and $20 were missing Aug. 30. The woman noticed an air conditioner window unit was loose when she returned home Adderall, valued at $50, and prescription Motrin were missing as well. Theft is a fourth-degree felony and burglary is a second-degree felony in this situation.
  • A McTaggart Road woman said more than $4,000 in jewelry was stolen from her home Aug. 23. The most expensive piece was a gold ring with seven diamonds valued at $2,000. Theft in this situation is a fifth-degree felony.
  • A Heron Springs Parkways resident told police Aug. 31 there was some fraudulent activity on her debit and credit card after she moved in June. The woman has her two credit cards, but she did report that her college ID is missing and a blood pressure cuff, valued at $500, is also gone. The charges on the cards added up to $3,000. Theft, in this situation, is a fifth-degree felony.
  •  A Glen Valley Circle resident told police that he wired money to Canada after being called by someone impersonating a police officer and his grandson stated he needed bond money in Canada Aug. 31. After the money was sent, the Stow man realized it was a scam but the money had already been received in Canada. Impersonating a police officer is a third-degree felony and theft by deception is a fourth-degree felony.
