Pre-Teens Get Into Fight at Lakeview

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.

A 12-year-old student was said by police to have initiated a conflict with another juvenile student by striking him in the head with a stick at the school May 31.

The other boy struck back and was then pinned by a chair and choked by the student who initiated the fight, said officers. A male and female teacher present broke up the fight and separated the students. 

The boy pinned by the chair had a scratch on his neck and blood on his shirt collar. He was treated by the school nurse.

The case is being handled by Stow Youth Services. Assault, when charged to an adult, is a first-degree misdemeanor in this situation.
