Resident's Tip Leads to Arrest of Accused Meth Maker

Thanks to a tip from Stow resident, Stow Police said they .

Lewis Gene Butler Jr., 39, of Stow was arrested Jan. 5 and charged with felony counts of illegal manufacturing of drugs and possession of chemicals to manufacture drugs.

Butler was arrested at 2106 Uniondale Dr. in September for , according to .

After police and the city's building inspector boarded up the Uniondale home because it was uninhabitable and being used, , police were, again, looking for Butler.

Police Lt. Anne Stirm told the Stow Sentry, "someone reported to a patrol officer to look for a truck that Butler and his female friend may be using."

An officer found the truck described at the Graham Road and Vira Road intersection and found Butler and Angel M. George. George was also arrested and charged with illegal manufacture of drugs, illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, possession of criminal tools and endangering children.

Warrants for failure to appear in court were issued Dec. 28 for Butler and George after both failed to appear at a court hearing, Stow Police Det. Tom Gottas told the Stow Sentry.
