Election Day: 4 Running in Mayoral Primary

Find out more about the four candidates hoping to continue on to the November general election.

Four Stow residents, three of which are political newcomers, are hoping to get through the Sept. 13 primary and on to the Nov. 8 ballot to be the next mayor.

The candidates are listed in alphabetical order:

  • Scott Buck: He is making his first run for public office. If elected, he said his financial background will help him in Stow's highest executive position. For more information on Buck, click .
  • Brian Burgess: He is also making his first run for public office. If elected, he would like to cut the mayor's salary. Find out more about Burgess .
  • Sara Drew: She is currently the vice president of Stow City Council and this is her first attempt for the mayor's position. Her goal, if elected, is to continue to provide services offered to residents in Stow. For more on Drew, click .
  • Larry Kinnan: Is also a first-timer in the political race. His focus is going to be on long-term growth and financial stability, if elected. Click  for more information on Kinnan.

Current Mayor Karen Fritschel is not seeking re-election because of term limits.
