Video: Income Taxes, Number of Residents Filing Online Up in First Quarter
City income taxes in Stow are about 4 percent higher than what was collected in 2009.
Dennis Bernaciak, tax administrator for Stow, said income tax collections are up about 4 percent overall in the first quarter, and he hopes the trend continues.
Although Stow saw more cash in the first quarter than in 2010, Bernaciak said he will continue to monitor the flow of collections.
In March 2010, the city collected $901,324. In March 2011, Stow collected $2.83 million.

"Taking this to be anything other than the first quarter score in a four quarter game would be dangerous," said Bernaciak.
