Even More Community Engagement School Levy Meetings Planned

There are even more chances — both in the morning and evening — to go to a meeting to discuss what cuts are coming to the district if the levy fails in November.

There are several more meetings scheduled to discuss the to the if the November levy fails.

Co-chair of the levy committee, Mike Barnes, said the following dates and times are the new confirmed meeting times:

  • Sept. 27- 9 to 10 a.m. at Crooked River Grill
  • Sept. 29- 7 to 8:30 p.m. at
  • Oct. 4- 9 to 10 a.m. at Crooked River Grill
  • Oct. 6- 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Stow Youth Baseball
  • Oct. 11- 9 to 10 a.m. at Crooked River Grill
  • Oct. 13- 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Oregon Trail Sports Center
  • Oct. 18- 9 to 10 a.m. at Crooked River Grill
  • Oct. 22- 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the library
  • Oct. 25- 9 to 10 a.m. at
  • Oct. 27- 7 to 8:30 p.m. at

The meetings are information regarding the possible cuts if the levy fails Nov. 8 and ample time will be given for questions and answers, said Barnes. 

Issue 20 is a 6.57-mill 10-year operating levy. It would generate for the district and would cost the owner of $100,000 home:
